William H. “Bill” Dilbeck, age 85, of Florence, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014.
Visitation will be today, 9-11 a.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Gene Richey and Bill Rupe officiating. Interment will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jim Lovett, Pat Ray, Jackie Howard, Greg Michael, Ray Grissom, and Bob Griffin. Members of Bill Rupe’s Sunday School class of Central Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Dilbeck was a member of Central Baptist Church and was a retired auto parts salesman.
Preceding him in death was his sister, Edith Brown.
Survivors include wife of 66 years, Jean Dilbeck;
children, Charlotte Hall, of Hermitage, Tennessee, and
Carlton Dilbeck, of Madison, Alabama; brother, Boyce Dilbeck, of Warner Robins, Georgia; grandchildren, Timothy Hall, Christi Hall-Gomez (Eddie), Jerimy Dilbeck (Bridgett), and Leah Dilbeck;
great-grandchildren, Matthew Hall-Gomez, Lucas Dilbeck,
Joshua Hall-Gomez, and
Reagan Dilbeck.
A special thanks to everyone at Central Baptist Church, Hospice of the Shoals, Dr. Lyman Mitchell, Dr. John A. Young, special caregiver Alvin Alston, and neighbors for prayers and kindness shown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of the Shoals or Central Baptist Church, Florence.
