Franklin E. Blue – Obituary

franklinFranklin E. Blue was born June 30, 1939, to his late father, Frank Blue and mother, Mary Lou (Thompson) Blue, in Florence, Alabama. He was the middle child of three siblings. Franklin attended West End High School in Florence, Alabama where he graduated and then later relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. In Cleveland, he met and married Etta Connor, his wife of over 35 years. Franklin worked for 30 years for Ford Motor Company as a chipper and retired in 2002. Frank was a diligent worker and rarely missed a day of work. 

Franklin served as a deacon at New Direction Church of God in Christ for over 35 years and was loved and respected by all that worked and worshipped with him. Franklin enjoyed fishing, traveling and just being around family and friends, talking and reminiscing. Franklin will truly be missed by everyone who knew and loved him dearly. 

Franklin is survived by wife, Etta M. Blue; brother, Hubert Blue, of Florence, Alabama; sister, Sarah Walker, of Harvey, Illinois; stepchildren, Michelle Bennett, of Euclid, Ohio, Michael and Marcus Bell, of Cleveland, Ohio, Vernell Bell (deceased), and Deborah Bell (deceased). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and other family and friends.
