Melanie Teresa Springer, 55, of Tuscumbia, died Saturday, May 10, 2014. Her visitation will be Monday, May 12th from 12 noon until 2 pm at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Richard McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery.
Melanie was preceded in death by her father, W.A. Springer.
She is survived by her mother, Mattie Lee Springer; daughter, Tiffany Calvert; brother, William Craig Springer; sisters, Sherre Springer Stonecipher (Terry), Pamela Springer Hamm (Marvin), Angela Springer, and Gena Springer Williams; and grandchildren, Alexa Snow and Jordan Calvert.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family extends a special thanks to Melanie’s family, friends, neighbors and the staff of Hospice of the Shoals.
