Funeral for Randal “Randy” McKindly Kirby, 54, of Moulton will be Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Kale Bragwell and Tony Myers officiating. Burial will be in Masterson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Kirby, who died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Lawrence Medical Center, was born May 9, 1959, in Lawrence County to Roy Kirby and Helen Landers Kirby. He retired from Delphi after 30 years, and was a supervisor at CBC INGS. Randy was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed working on cars, carpentry, music and spending time with his grandchildren. His father preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Blankenship Kirby; two sons, Randal McKindly “Kinley” Kirby and Lori Landers and Jarrad Adam Kirby; two grandsons, Dorean Kirby and Achilles Kirby; mother, Helen Kirby of Hatton; one brother, Howell Kirby and Kari; five sisters, Betty Kirby, Regina Obergfell and Bob, Penny Jefferys and Terry, Tammy Lott and Mike and Patty Kirby; a host of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mark Brock, Tony Myers, Tim Hutchinson, Kim Gist, Bordrie Shields and Greg Griffin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Lott, Terry Jefferys, Bob Obergfell, Keith Pierce, Jeff Blankenship, Donnie Blankenship and Chuck Thorp.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society .
