Funeral for Thurston Hill, 76, of Moulton will be Thursday, May 1, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Lindsey Hall Holy Church of Christ with Royce Shelton and Wayne Bumgart officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 until service time at the church.
Mr. Hill, who died Monday, April 28, 2014, in Bankhead National Forest, was born August 26, 1937, in Winston County to Medford Hill and Lurlean Wilkenson Hill. He was a retired auto mechanic who liked to hunt and fish. He was a member of Lindsey Hall Holy Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Bobby Ray Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Hill; two sons, Tony Hill (Teresa) and Tommy Hill (Vicki); one daughter, Sandra Nelson (Ricky); two brothers, Hershul Hill and Thurman Dolan; one sister, Shirley Dolan; two grandchildren, Emily Alred (Jonathan) and Caleb Hill; and one great-grandchild, Olivia Alred.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Hill, Jonathan Alred, Ricky Hill, Mike Jackson, Dennis Jackson and Dexter Garrison.
