Funeral for Jerry Young, 75, of Decatur will be Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Hugh Bolin officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 until service time.
Mr. Young, who died Sunday, April 27, 2014, at River City Care & Rehab, was born September 14, 1938, in Blountsville to Buel and Mary Young. He was part owner of Jerry Young Homes. He enjoyed hunting, farming and Shriners. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sheilla Young; and brother, Joe Young.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Willodean Young; one son, Jerry Bruce Young of Decatur; one brother, Jim Young; one sister, Iris Cross; and two grandchildren, Allison Marie Young and Bronson Lee Young.
Pallbearers will be Bronson Young, Bobby Posey, Jim Montgomery, Chuck Abercrombie, Jason May and Melvin Phillips.
