Mrs. Kathlene K. Barnes, age 72, passed away early Saturday, April 19, 2014 in Jackson. She was born February 28, 1942 in Clinton, TN to the late Clyde and Vivian Lynch Aaron. Mrs. Barnes was raised by her grandparents, Charlie and Cora Lynch. She was a homemaker. With her husband of 55 years, Mr. Herbert Barnes, they spent 30 years in the Army and 10 years in Civil Service, until he retired in 1998 and they moved to Reagan. She was a member of VFW Auxillary 4971, Past-President of Post Auxillary, and a Past-President of District 8 Auxillary. She was a member of the non-commissioned wife’s club and Liberty Methodist Church. Mrs. Barnes loved animals, enjoyed bowling and bingo, was a European Traveler, and always looked forward to Christmas. Survivors include her husband, Herbert Barnes of Reagan, her son, Steven (Peggy) Barnes, her daughter, Kathy Lynn Barnes, three brothers, Charles Kitchen, Ronnie (Suzy) Kitchen, Jimmy (Judy) Kitchen, her sister, Jean (Lee) Taylor, two grandchildren, Steven Ray Barnes II and Justin Parnell Barnes, and two great grandchildren, Natalie Hazel Barnes and Kaydence Faith Barnes. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 5-8 PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill with Bro. Mike Yarbrough speaking at 7:30.
