Funeral service for Laura Ann Bittle, age 80, of Decatur, will be Wednesday, April 16, 2014, 10:00 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Ben Hayes officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Interment will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Bittle, who died Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born April 17, 1933, in Paducah, KY, to Eugene C. Roddie, Jr. and Ann Elizabeth Yokely Roddie. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, and a retired pharmacist who worked in several drug stores in this area.
She is survived by her loving husband, David F. Bittle of Decatur; one daughter, Sandra Howard (Stanley) of Decatur; one son, David A. Bittle (Catherine) of Cotaco; and five grandchildren, Elizabeth Howard of Huntsville, Michael Howard of Decatur, and Peyton Bittle, Laura Grace Bittle, and Emma Bittle, all of Cotaco.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
