Marilyn Popejoy, 96 of New Market passed away Sunday. While her lifetime accomplishments were many, her biggest contribution in life was being a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Her compassion and genuine interest in people quickly made her someone that everybody loved. She was generous in her love and support and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the Salvation Army or HAP North in her honor, and that those who attend join us in bringing a single rose to create a Love Bouquet to celebrate her life.
“A rush of wings they flutter by, to touch the sun and kiss the sky. A butterfly has left us and is now in Heaven flying high. Our loved one with angel wings; a soaring butterfly in the heavens does now sing.”
