Robert “Bob” Vernon Brooks, 87, Tuscumbia, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Brooks served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of North Highland Baptist Church, Littleville.
The visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2014, at Spry Memorial Chapel, Russellville. The memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. in the chapel. Officiating will be Brother Paul Cummings and Brother Daniel Delaney.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Julia Brooks; children, David Brooks, Timothy Brooks, Kathy Nichols, Jim Howard; several grandchildren; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Mable Brooks.
