Funeral services for Mr. JC Duke are scheduled for 2 PM on Monday April 14, 2014 at Corinth Baptist Church with Bro. Don Franks officiating. Burial will follow in the Duke Family Cemetery. JC Duke Jr. age, 74, was born March 14, 1940 to the late James Carless Duke and Maude Wilkins Duke. He was the youngest of 9 children. He was a lifelong resident of the Darden Community. JC graduated from Lexington High School in 1958. JC joined the Army National Guard and served his country from 1958 until 1964. On March 15,1963 JC married the love of his life for 51 years, Mrs. Linda Mae Scates Duke. JC retired from Young Touchstone in 2006. He was also a full time farmer, starting with dairy and later cattle.
JC joined his 2 grandchildren; James Brennan Duke and Abbey Grace Dunlevy, parents, James Carless Duke and Maude Wilkins Duke and four siblings; Ruby Davis, Van Duke, Roy Duke, and Olen Duke in Heaven on April 11, 2014. He is survived by not only his wife, Linda Mae Scates Duke, children; Ronald Keith Duke (Mary Beth), Kimberly Rena Dunlevy (Ron) and Ronnie Kent Duke. Survivors also include his grandchildren, Tianita DeShea Duke, Lindsey Rena Anderson Demers (Brett) and Michaela LeAnn Dunlevy, two sisters; Lorene Maxwell and Alma Lee McDaniel and two brothers; Ed (Nancy) Duke and Guy Loyce Duke.
