A memorial service for Thelma Lorraine Minyard, age 92, of Decatur, will be Wednesday, April 16, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at Annunciation of The Lord Catholic Church with Father Ray Remke officiating.
Mrs. Minyard, who died Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital-Parkway Campus, was born August 16, 1921 , in St. Louis, Missouri to Oscar Gusta Teitz and Thelma Jones Teitz.
She is survived by 2 sons, David Brown of Newport News, Virginia and Joseph Ball of Gulf Breeze, Florida; her daughter, Melissa Yates of Houston, AL; 9 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Annunciation of The Lord Catholic Church Education Fund.
