Funeral services for Ms. Hettie McCollum, age 101, are scheduled for 1 PM, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Scotts Hill Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Snyder officiating. Interment will follow in Scotts Hill Methodist Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. McCollum passed away Thursday. She was born December 1, 1912 in Henderson County to the late John and Cumi Patterson McCollum. She was a retired Caywood Elementary School Teacher and a member of Scotts Hill Methodist Church. She loved gardening, knitting, and cross-stitching. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Dee and Mack McCollum, and three sisters, Exie Milam, Billie Cole, and Rita Young. Survivors include her brother, J. C. McCollum, her sister, R. T. Mitchell, and several nieces and nephews.
