James David Holmes, 70, of Killen, passed away April 5, 2014, at his residence. He was retired from South Central Bell and served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Survivors include his son, James D. Holmes and wife, Jackie, of Somerville, Ala.; brother, Danny Ray Holmes and wife, Jackie, of Vinemont, Ala.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Greenhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
