Funeral service for Paul Kilgore, 67, will be Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Greg Compton officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Paul Curtis Kilgore went to be with his Saviour on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born June 24, 1946, to Frank Kilgore and Carrie Mae Wheeler Kilgore in Fayette, County, Alabama. Paul was a Vietnam Veteran, and served his country in the United States Army.
After 40 years of dedicated service, Paul retired from Century Link Phone Company in June of 2013. He was a long time member of the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Massey. A kind, giving soul, Paul loved his family and church family. He never met a stranger and enjoyed watching his son’s ballgames. Paul will be missed as a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend and neighbor. He was preceded in death by his parents.
