Carol Jean Beeler Ashley, age 70, of Muscle Shoals, AL, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014. Visitation will be Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. and burial will follow at Shoals Memorial Gardens, with Shane Swinney officiating.
She is survived by her son, Robert R. Ashley, Jr., (Misti), of Muscle Shoals, AL. Stepdaughter, Judy Logan (Mike), of Muscle Shoals, AL. Sisters, Bonnie Hill Q.R.), of Cullman, AL., and Sandra Cook, of Muscle Shoals, AL. Brother Gene Wilkinson (Nita j of Birmingham, AL. Five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four nieces, three nephews, and her special fur-baby Sophie.
Carol moved to Muscle Shoals, AL., from Cullman, AL. in her 30’s, where she became apartment manager at Williamsburg Apartments. She managed the apartments for 36 years until her retirement. Carol was the type of person that would do anything and everything for those she loved. She was an excellent cook and loved to entertain for her family and friends. She enjoyed collecting stamps, coins, and antiques. Most importantly, she loved her son who was the light of her life.
Pallbearers are Mike Logan, Darin House, Ray Willis, Eddie Lang, Troy Davis, and Presley Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Blake Aycock and Jerry Reid.
The family would like to express a very special thank you to Judy Logan, Nancy Nichols, Ray Willis, Marquitta Staggs, Margaret Grooms, Eddie and Sue Lang, Troy and Crystal Davis, the staff of Williamsburg Apartments, and the staff of the 1CU at Helen Keller Hospital.
