Louis Wells Amis, 75, a native of Huntsville, passed away at home on Monday, April 1st. Louis was a member of the Church of Nativity and a graduate of Episcopal High School in Alexandria, VA. He completed his Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Business at The University of Alabama and worked his entire career in the computer industry. He was preceded in death by his father, Reese Amis, his mother Mildred Amis, and his wife of 28 years, Lynne Callahan Amis.
He is survived by his sons, Wells and Wade Amis and their wives, Stephanie and Alyssa: granddaughter, Abby Amis; grandson, Jackson Arnold; and his brother-in-law, Ralph Callahan of Greenville, SC.
Visitation will be held at the Church of Nativity in downtown Huntsville at 9:30AM Friday morning, with the funeral following at 11:00AM. (www.laughlinservice.com)
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice Family Care.
