Thomas C. White Jr., born August 21, 1922, in Houston, Texas to Thomas C. White Sr. and Minnie P. White. He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Dorothy Clayton White; son, Michael White. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Jo Ann Wasley Davies White; sons, Thomas C. (Judy) White, III of Hartsville and James Creed (Kimberly) of Birmingham; grandsons, Thomas C. White IV, Matthew White and Brandon White; granddaughter, Kaitlyn White, his wife’s children and extended family. He graduated in Accounting from the University of Houston, a member of the Loyalty Class of Huffman United Methodist Church, served 50 years as a Mason and a Shriner, where he was Treasurer Emeritus. He was a member of VFW Post 668, American Legion Post 171 and the Marine Corp. League. He was a combat veteran of WW II, serving the Third Marine Division on the battles of Guadacanal and Bogainville, in the South Pacific. He retired from Western Auto Supply Company as a Distribution Center Manager. He later formed and was President of Action Video Service and was well known as a local Videographer for 15 years. He and his wife, Jo Ann loved to travel with Shriner friends, and they enjoyed many cruises and trips abroad, retaining many beautiful memories. Visitation will be Monday, March 31, 2014, from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Interment will follow at Crossville City Cemetery, Crossville, Ala.
