Bobbie Jane Putman age 79 of Athens, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Putman was born November 30, 1934 in Limestone County to Henry Croley and Alma Hughes Croley.
Services for Mrs. Putman are Monday, March 31, 2014 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be Monday, March 31, 2014 from 12:00 until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Old Scrouge Cemetery with Tim Anderson and Paul Clutts officiating.
She was a member of Clements Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Sam Putman Jr.; son, Jimmy W. Putman and wife Sherl; daughter, Janie Leone and husband David; grandchildren, Jennifer Leone, Amanda Leone, Trevis Williams, Lashawn McGuire and husband Mike and Bradley Walker; great-grandchildren, Brayleigh Leone, Lillie Mae Johnson and Kailee McGuire; brother, David Croley and with Patricia; sisters, Coy McGivney and Dorothy Hawk.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Alma Croley; brothers, Bruce Croley and Tommy Croley; daughter, Annie Williams; grandchildren, Kim Putman and Felicia Putman.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Sloan, Mike McGuire, Bill Black, David Leone, Scott Whitaker, Tony Richter and James Hough.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
