alabamatrust   MOBILE– The Alabama Trust for Historic Preservation is seeking submissions of successful preservation projects for presentation during the 2014 Alabama Preservation Conference Luncheon on Friday, April 25, in Florence, Alabama.  The project submissions may include successful fundraising events, marketing campaigns, streetscape programs, historic site events and celebrations, and restoration projects.

“We are using the luncheon presentations as a way to share success stories, creative ideas, educational programs, and great events.  Our goal is to encourage preservation programs and build statewide awareness of these great projects,” stated Rhonda Davis, conference organizer.   “There is so much going on in Alabama’s preservation community that is impacting our daily quality of life.  We want to showcase and celebrate the people and projects that are so important in to Alabama.  We want to create an exchange that gives attendees one great idea to take back to their hometown.”

A collection of 15 projects will be selected for presentation.  For guidelines and an application form, please visit https://www.alabamatrust.info.   Deadline for application is April 8.
