2014 Community Spelling Bee Set For April 3rd

each one teach oneFLORENCE-Northwest Alabama Reading Aides will hold their annual Spelling Bee on April 3rd at 7:00 pm at the Trinity Episcopal Church Parish Hall, Florence, Alabama.  Admission is free and there will be raffle tickets for a chance to win a night at the Marriott, Gift Cards and many more prizes.  Teams will vie for the best spelling record, teams are made up of local business employees and the competition is fierce and out comes is always fun.

Northwest Alabama Reading Aides is a United Way Agency that uses volunteers to help adults learn to read.  They offer free one-on-one tutoring to anyone who needs help.  NARA works in Lauderdale, Colbert and Franklin Counties offering tutoring in reading, writing and English Skills.  They also work with stroke victims to help them try to regain some of what they lost due to their stroke.  The mission is to empower those who want help in improving their language skills .
