Neal Jordan Matkin, 64, of Huntsville passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Matkin is survived by his wife, Judy Lee Matkin; a daughter, Dawn Matkin McDonnell (Barry); a son Scott Matkin (Jacklyn); grandson, Jeff Hill; mother-in-law, Ivy Barber; brothers, Brian, Mike and Tommy Matkin; sister Kathy Gilpin and Neal also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and loving friends. No services are planned at this time. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.

You have my deepest sympathy. As a child we grew up together. The Murphy’s lived at the first house on the right and Neal lived in what is still called Matkin Cove today. Just trust God had a reason for taking Neal and He has bigger and better plans for him. I will pray for the whole Matkin family.
