Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Sparkman, age 87 of Hartselle died Saturday March 22, 2014.
Her funeral will be Tuesday March 25, 2014 at 2:00pm at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery with Brother Tom Elder officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing she will be at the Church 1 hour prior to the service. Visitation will be 6-9pm Monday March 24, 2014 at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sparkman was born August 8, 1926 in Morgan County to William Eugene Hartselle and Elizabeth Healan Long Hartselle.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Anderson B. Sparkman and also 1 son-Jerry Sparkman, 2 brothers- L.E. Hartselle, James (Bo) Hartselle, 4 sisters- Rendy Howard, Ester Callahan, Bernice England and Mamie King.
She is survived by 2 Sons- Freddie Sparkman(Ruby) and Glenn Sparkman(Carolyn).
3 Daughters- Shirley Johnson, Debbie Steele(Phillip) and June Crane(Chris).
1 Sister- Dorothy Kirby.

Pallbearers will be- Phillip Peppers, Jerry Peppers, Andy Sparkman, Brandon Sparkman, Shane Steele, Patrick Cheatham and B.J. Cox.
She was retired as a Dietary Worker at the Retreat Hospital.
She was a member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church for many years.
