Memorial services for Johnnie Waid Simms, age 64 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Saturday at 3:00 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Ray Fraley officiating. Mr. Simms passed away Friday morning at his residence.
A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Sammie Simms and Cora Katherine Waid Simms who survives. He was former restaurant owner.
Survivors include his son Waid Simms of Franklin and mother Katherine Simms of Fayetteville, niece Nicole Simms of Fayetteville, great-nephew Dylan Tanner and great-nieces Oliva Tanner and Cheyenne May and cousins. Mr. Simms was preceded in death by his brother Mallory Simms and grandparents George and Carlene Waid.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 2PM-3PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
