William H. Smallwood, 84, a native of Morganton, N.C. and a resident of Florence, passed away March 19, 2014 at his residence. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be Monday, March 24, 2014 at 2 p.m. EST in Oak Hill Cemetery, Kingsport, TN with military funeral honors.
Officiating will be Robert Lupo of Sneedville Church of Christ.
Mr. Smallwood was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby G. Smallwood; sister, Phyllis Bishop; parents, Phillip and Edith Smallwood.
He is survived by his son, Steve Smallwood (Tammy) of Florence; grandchildren, Savanna and Kenzi Smallwood; brother, Barry Smallwood (Sandra) of Mt. Carmel, TN; special friends, Kenneth and Bonnie Reeves of Florence.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Bishop and Barry Smallwood.
