DECATUR-The Decatur Police were called to Wal-Mart on Spring Ave in Decatur but ended up
arresting to on charges other than shoplifting. Here is how The Decatur Police describe the events leading up to the arrest:
“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
On 03/16/2014 Officers Josh Driggers and Cain Bowen with the Decatur Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to Wal-Mart on Spring Ave SW concerning two suspected shoplifters inside the business.
The shoplifting suspects were identified as Dusty Ray Wilhoite and Vince Edward Bramlett. Both were arrested for Theft 3rd Degree.
As the investigation continued, Wilhoite was found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine, drug use paraphernalia, and brass knuckles. Bramlett was also found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine.
Wilhoite was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Carrying Brass Knuckles, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-Intent to Use, and Theft 3rd Degree. Bramlett was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Theft 3rd Degree.
Wilhoite was booked into the Decatur City Jail and will be transferred to the Morgan County Jail with a $4,000.00 bond. Bramlett was booked into the Decatur City Jail and later transferred to the Morgan County Jail with a $3,000.00 bond.”
