Donny (Don) L. Burden, age 73, of Sheffield, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014.
His family will receive friends today, 6-8 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with David Cole and Bubba Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Morning Star Cemetery.
Mr. Burden was a native of Lawrence County, Tenn., but resided in Sheffield for the past 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Burden; sons, Donny Burden Jr. (Delisa) and Kris Burden (Lisa); brothers, Carroll Burden and William Burden; sister, Dorothy Pigg; four grandchildren, Kris Burden Jr., Krista Burden Crowden, Darian Burden, and Kallie Burden; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Kris Burden Jr., Tim Burden, Troy Burden, Kyle Howard, Clay Howard, Jacob Howard, Dewayne Cox, Jason Brooks, David Cole, and Ricky Rickard.
