, age 92, of Killen passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014. The celebration of her life will be Saturday, March 8, 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Roy Runkle officiating. She will lie in state from 9:00-10:00 A.M. Interment will be at Florence City Cemetery. Mrs. Mattiace was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and School where she was a beloved kindergarten teacher for 23 years. Upon her retirement, her love of children led her to supervise the church nursery until the age of 90. Preceding her in death was her beloved son, Joseph Mattiace. Surviving members of her loving family include cousin, Tess Jackson McAfee, Robert Dinges and wife, Debbie, Adam Dinges and wife, Samantha, their sons Tyler and Henry, Ashley Sealy and husband, Michael, and Alex Dinges, along with numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in memory of Sue Mattiace to the St. Joseph School Foundation, 115 Plum Street, Florence, AL 35630.
