Eva Jean Bates, 82, died Thursday, March 6, 2014. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Sunday at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home chapel, with entombment in Shoals Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Tuscumbia. She was the wife of the late Niles Bates.
