Joe Allen McKee, age 78, of Florence, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014. Visitation will be today from 1-2 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Roger Houston and Brother Jim Warren, officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mr. McKee was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a member of Central Heights Baptist Church and owned McKee Office Machines.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Roberta McKee, and brother, Jimmy McKee.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, JoAnn; sons, Gregory McKee (Tena) and Shannon McKee (Cheri); daughters, Kelly Brown (Kevin) and Kim Hanback (David); sisters, Faye Inman and Ganelle Holcombe; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
