Linda Gail Higgins, age 63, of Florence, Alabama, died, Tuesday, March 3, 2014. The visitation will be Wednesday, March 4th from 6-8:00p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral will be Thursday, March 6th at 11:00a.m. in the funeral home chapel. William Brewer will be officiating. Interment will be in Tri Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Higgins was an active member of Fairview Baptist Church and a member of the choir and ladies group. She was the owner and operator of J.R.’s market and Deli. She loved canning and crocheting. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her mother Sue Lusk and father Frank Barnett Jr., and son-in-law, Cory Guzowski.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, J.R. Higgins, daughter, Suzanne Guzowsk Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Condrey, Larry Hopwood, George Carmack, Denny Brown, Timmy Bassie, Bruce Chabra, Melvin Castell and Rayborn Lowry.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association, American i Cain and husband Jason, 3 grandchildren, Dylan and Deven Guzowski and Karson Pounders Cain. Heart Association, and the American Liver Foundation.
