Houston C. Gann, 82, of Burnsville, MS, died March 2, 2014, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was co-owner of Gann Bros. Furniture and Appliance in Burnsville, Otasco in Iuka, and Coast-to-Coast Home and Appliance in Belmont for several years. In his younger years, Mr. Gann was a mechanic for both V. M. Box and Oakley Ford dealerships, and served as an assistant funeral director for Memphis Funeral Home. He was a member of New Lebanon Freewill Baptist Church. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4, from 5-8 pm and Wednesday from 11 am until service time at New Lebanon Church. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 1 PM, at New Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers include Sean McCully, Dwight Brown, Tim Hendrix, Gene Coleman, Hayden Woodruff, and Gary Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers are Travis Hendrix, Chris Taylor, John Harvey, Brian Westbrook, Dr. John Prather, and Dr. Al Flannery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Florence Gann of Burnsville; his daughter, Pam (Dennis) McCully of Lebanon, TN; his brother, Billy Gann of Iuka, MS; and 2 grandchildren, Katherine and Sean McCully, both of Lebanon, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rannel and Lillie Gann; three sisters, and two brothers.
