Leonard Howard Cupples age 68 passed away February 28, 2014 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born April 30, 1945 in Chester County son, of the late James Lawson and Lucille Myrtle Easley Cupples. He attended school in Chester County and worked for the Coca Cola Bottling Company, and later the Henderson Police Department for 13 years and the Bolivar Police Department for 2 years. He was a Baptist and a member of the FOP.
Mr. Cupples is survived by daughter Teresa Aljarfari (Amer), Jackson Tennessee; three sons Danny Cupples, (Dorey) of Columbia, Tennessee; Donnie Cupples (Angie) Houston, Texas; Billy Cupples (Shelia) of Huron, Tennessee; two sisters Mildred Griswell Henderson, Tennessee, Vickie Taylor of Sardis, Tennessee, three brothers, Carlos, Leland, and Curtis Cupples all of Henderson; fifteen Grandchildren Summer Hess, Grant Moiser, Rami Aljarfari, Laith Aljarfari, Zack Aljarfari, Adam Aljarfari, Jennie Sprague, Daniel Justin Cupples, Donnie Joseph Cupples, Misti Cupples, Joshua Cupples, Jubilee Cupples, Justin Cupples, Charity Cupples, Amber Cupples and five great grandchildren Kayden Sprague Ethan and Isiah Cupples, Kieten Cupples, Tristyn Gillenwater.
Funeral services will be 3:30 PM Monday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Ronnie Geary officiating and burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Sunday.
