Bob “B.R.” Sampson, age 77 of Bear Creek, Al. passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at Russellville Hospital. He was a Baptist, served in the United States Army, President of Shelter Products, Co-Founder of the Alabama Suppliers Association, President and Chief Cook of Redtop Hunting Club and Co-Founder of Bear Creek Toys for Tots “Operation Caring”

Visitation is Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville with funeral service following at 4:00 p.m. at the chapel, with Frank Chaney, Sammy Taylor and Carl James officiating, Burial to follow at Bear Creek Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Dale Green Sampson; sons, Stephen (Lekita) Sampson and Mark (Wynndy) Sampson; brothers, Mike Sampson and David Sampson; sisters, Kay Saling and Sue Stanley; grandchildren, Stephanie Sampson Hyde, Amy (Jeremy) Campbell, Mark Sampson, Jr., and Kylie Sampson; great grandchildren, Wesley Williams, Lily Hyde, Rylie Sampson, Emma Campbell and Asher Campbell.

His was preceded in death by his parents, George Rollie and Gladys Mae Sampson; grandson, Jonathan Sampson.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital
