Nellie Mae Sanders Freeman, 89, of Decatur died on February 25. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Virgil Sanders and husband, William Freeman; parents, Buster and Mary Jane Garner; sister, Beatrice Pugh; great-grandson, Manny Pagan.
She is survived by her sons, Don Sanders (Jimmie Lee) of Madison and James Sanders (Sherry) of Athens. Also sisters Flora Lee Doss and Hazel White, both of Athens, and brother, Ross Garner (Betty) of Decatur. She had 4 granddaughters, 6 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday, February 27, 2014 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service with Tee Jackson and Gary Patton officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
