Jimmie Doris Franklin, 78 of Ardmore, Tennessee died on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at Ardmore Care & Rahabilitation Center in Ardmore, Tennessee.
Born Tuesday, May 21, 1935 in Fayetteville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Preston Franklin and the late Zana Cowan Franklin. He was a lifelong resident of this area and enjoyed nature and classic cars. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers: John Franklin, Emmett (Red) Franklin, and Clyde Franklin.
Surviving are son, Jimmy Dean Franklin of Hendersonville, NC, sister, Frances Patterson of Hazel Green, AL, grandson: Jamie (Bridget) Franklin, Ardmore, AL, and great-grandchildren: Anna Grace Franklin and Aiden Franklin.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Prosperity Cemetery located at Carmargo Road, Fayetteville, Tennessee with Bro. Derrick Moose officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL.
