Three Arrested on Felony Drug Charges in Morgan City

Morgan-county-featuredDECATUR– The Morgan County Drug Task Force and the Deputies from Morgan County Sheriff’s Department served an arrest warrant in Morgan City for the arrest of three people on felony drug charges.  Here is what Sheriff Ana Franklin has to say:

On Monday, February 24, 2014, that the Morgan County Drug Task Force, along with Deputies with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, executed an arrest warrant at 85 Seagroves Rd. in the Morgan City area, for the arrest of Dennis Dewayne Malone (w/m 45) on two felony charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. Agents obtained a search warrant for the residence and located Methamphetamine, Marijuana, drug paraphernalia items and a short-barreled Rifle. Agents also made contact with Brandis Pugh (w/f 29), who had provided a false identity, but was later discovered had an outstanding warrant with Morgan County and Deborah Jett (w/f 46) who was found too in possession of Methamphetamine. All three subjects were arrested and transported to the Morgan County Jail.

Dennis Dewayne Malone: 2 warrants for the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Cash Bond Totaling $5,000.00 per Judge Howell.
Additional charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine Bond set at: $2,500.00 and Unlawful Possession of a short-barreled Rifle $2,500.00. Total Bond Amount: $10,000.00.
