Billy Conner, age 57, of Muscle Shoals, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014.
Visitation will be today, 5-8 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia.
His funeral service will be Thursday, 11 a.m., at First United Methodist Church of Sheffield with the Rev. Linda Barnes Popham officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Billy was a Colbert County native and a graduate of the University of North Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Ann Oaks Conner; his second dad, Bill Sherrill; sister-in-law, Linda Schramn Taylor; and niece, Meridth Catherine Conner.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Anita Schramn Conner; daughter, Katelyn Marie Conner (Matt); son, William Kenneth Conner (Sally); brother, Charles Jackson Conner (Pat); and other family members, Vera Minelli Schramn, Douglas Paul Schramn, Diane and Jamey Alexander, Chase Conner, and Todd and Nic Alexander.
Pallbearers are Glenn Hildreth, Marty Barnes, William Grimmitt, Ray Smith, Kevin”Goose” Thompson, Jamey “Snipe” White, Bobby Galloway, and Rodney Grissom.
Honorary pallbearers are his golfing friends at Tennessee Valley Country Club and his co-workers at Robbins LLC, a Hexpol Company, where he was a loyal employee of 40 years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Shoals, 115 Fairground Rd., Florence, AL 35630.
