Ophelia Smith, 88, Russellville, Alabama, formerly of Phil Campbell, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Russellville Hospital.
She lived her entire life in Franklin County and was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Friday, February 14, 2014, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. The funeral service will be Saturday, 2 p.m. at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Prince and Bro. Kerry Smith officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Survivors include husband, Rev. Elmer E. Smith, Russellville; children, Gary Smith (Amita), Donnie Smith (Gail), Ronnie Smith (Anita), Michael Smith (Cindy); 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
She was preceded in death by parents, Hubert and Evie Jackson; brothers, Doug, Lano, and Lloyd Jackson; sisters, Evelyn Baker, Gerald Trapp, Mildred Jackson.
