Neva Geraldine Brewer Herring of Waynesboro, TN was born July 1, 1929 in Wayne Co., TN, the daughter of the late William Clarence and Willie Ailene Nutt Brewer. She was united in marriage to Robert Leroy (Bob) Herring on May 30, 1953 and he preceded her in death on July 31, 1995.
Mrs. Herring was retired from Genesco, was of the baptist faith, and was a 20 years cancer survivor.
Mrs. Herring departed this life on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 7 Months, 12 Days.
She is survived by sisters, Dorothy Inman and Betty Jean Webb both of Waynesboro, TN; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Herring was preceded in death by a brother, Raleigh F. Brewer Jr.
Services will be Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 1:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro, Tennessee. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Visitation will be Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 6 pm to 8 pm and Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 10 am until service time at the funeral home.
