Billy Francis Adkins, Sr., 85 of Ardmore, Tennessee died on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.
Born Wednesday, August 15, 1928 in New Market, Alabama, he was the son of the late Frank Goodin Adkins and the late Fannie Allison Adkins. He was the a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and was a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: John David Adkins and Jim Adkins and a sister Velma Harrison.
Surviving are his wife: Mary Adkins of Ardmore, TN, sons, Billy (Jeanne) Adkins, Jr. of Mount Juliet, TN and Bob (Melanie) Adkins of Murfreesboro, TN, daughter: Shery Mohler of Ardmore, TN, sister, Ruby Holligan of CA, 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Jerry Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 14, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
