Faye Lamb Ricketts – Obituary

Faye Lamb Rickettsi4m8d6‘ŸêþŸn departed this life on February 10, 2014 after a battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Dewey and Oleta Hart Lamb. She was known as “Miss Faye” to hundreds of children in Decatur County that attended the Head Start Program where she taught for 19 years.
After leaving Head Start, she took to the road with her husband, Jerry Ricketts, driving a truck for Tombigbee Transport of Adamsville, TN. They enjoyed the years they had together on the road. Jerry preceded her in death in February 2013.
She is survived by her children, Jeanee Moore (Mike) of Lexington, Lane Carson of Lexington, Melanie Tucker-Harris (Fred) of Bath Springs, and Todd Carson (Cherie) of Boise, ID. Nine grandchildren, Anthony Craig (Raven) of Clarksburg, Haley Thompson (Rich) of Lexington, Ashley Craig of Sardis, Matthew Tucker (Carla) of Parsons, Ryan Tucker of Bath Springs, Christopher Carson of Lexington, Cassidy Carson of Middleburg, Shaun Carson and Seth Carson (Alyssa) of Twin Falls, ID. Ten great grandchildren, Melaina, Mason, Ariah, Garrett, Cash, Eric, Lexi, Hailey, Emma, and Ciara. She is also survived by a special aunt, Mildred Simpson of Parsons.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM, Thursday, February 13, 2014 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill with Bro. Roy Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bath Springs.
