Juanita Russell Miller – Obituary

Juanita Russell Miller age 78 of Athens, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014 at home and was surrounded by her loved ones. Mrs. Miller was born August 4, 1935 in Athens, AL to B.B. and Gladys Russell.

Juanita lived a full life. She attended Athens High School, afterwards going on to become a nurse, working for years in the profession, and touching the lives of many along the way. Juanita was a Godly woman who loved Jesus with all of her heart, and was a member of West Highland Baptist Church. She most enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, as well as her great-grandchildren.

Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, B.B. and Gladys Russell; brothers, Bobby, Douglas and James Paul Russell; son, Henry Miller Jr.

For the remaining family, Juanita is survived by her husband Henry P. Miller Sr.; daughters, Diane Beddingfield and husband Michael and Emily Alexander and husband Nick; brother, Billy Russell and wife Gwen; grandchildren, Bethany Springer and husband Nathan, Eric Moyers, Morgan Alexander and Molly Alexander; great-granddaughter, Ella Springer; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. A Graveside service will follow at Athens City Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Greg Lauderback and Jerry Smith officiating.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Hospice of Limestone County for their support in her final days. Juanita was loved dearly, and will be greatly missed by all of those whose lives she has touched in her wonderful 78 years.
