Funeral for Hazel Earline Steadman, 90, of Moulton will be today, February 4, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Milton Taylor and Gary Steadman officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Steadman, who died Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Helen Keller Hospital, was born September 11, 1923, in Lawrence County to Greer Pierce and Edna Long Pierce. She was a member of Fair Haven Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Steadman; her parents; one sister, Mable Rutherford; and one brother, Elwyn Pierce.
Survivors include one son, Lovis “Goat” Steadman (Terri) of Hatton; one daughter, Henrietta Taylor (Milton) of Hatton; one sister, Pauline Rutherford of Hatton; three grandchildren, Holly Rutherford (Darrell) of Hatton, Monica Johnson of Moulton and Bart Taylor of Mobile; four great-grandchildren, Steadman Rutherford (Christina), Mason Rutherford, Jenna Johnson and Taylor Johnson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tim Pierce, Jamie Rutherford, Jeron Rutherford, Jeff Byars, Stanley Steadman and Dale Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.
