Nellie Mae Irons Peden, 88, of Cherokee, Ala., passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014. The funeral services will be held at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel, Central Heights, Florence, Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at 1 p.m. with David Conley officiating. Burial will follow at Canaan Cemetery, Florence, Ala. Visitation will be Monday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Peden was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Peden, her parents, George and Maude Irons, five brothers and four sisters. She is survived by daughter, Ann Peden Chenault (Dan), Decatur, Ala.; three grandchildren, Lee Williams (Debby Dail), Cherokee, Ala., Kelly Wallace (Darren), Eva, Ala., Stuart Williams (Kelly), Littleville, Ala., and also seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers include Lee Williams, Stuart Williams, Blake Van Winkle, Drew Van Winkle, Sonny Woods, Roger Burcham and Dan Chenault.
