Carolyn Wright Glenn-Regan died Saturday, January 25th, 2014. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, January 28, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, at 2:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Glendale Cemetery.
Carol as born Carolyn Wright, daughter of the late George W. Wright and Luna Coker Wright. She was married to the late 1st. Lt. Richard J. Glenn from Florence who died in Vietnam in 1968. She had one son by Richard, Jonathan Blake Glenn-Regan. She was the daughter-in-law of the late Martha Johnson Glenn of Tuscumbia.
Carol re-married Ronald T. Regan in 1968 who adopted Blake as his own and later had two more sons, Jason O’Brien Regan and Justin Thomas Regan. Carol was a graduate of Coffee High School and the University of North Alabama. She served as a City Commissioner for the city of Tuscumbia from 1982 through 1985. Carol had a heart for helping the community. She was one of the original organizers for Covenant Christian School in Tuscumbia and served on the board for three years.
Carol loved tennis, interior design and politics, but her greatest love was for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Carol would often say Christ First, Family Second, everything else later.
Carol is survived by her loving husband and sweetheart, Ronald T. (Terry) Regan, her wonderful son and daughter-in -law, Jonathan Blake Glenn-Regan and Diane Lugli Regan, her precious son Jason O’Brien Regan and his wife, Valerie Watson Regan, and her heart, Justin Thomas Regan and his wife, Carly Ann Regan, plus six grandchildren, Thomas O’Brien Regan, 12, Ashton Blake Regan, 8, Katherine Ann Regan, 7, Annalee Mattox Regan, 5, Callan Lee Regan, 4, and Quinn Thomas Regan,1.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Blake Glenn-Regan, Jason O’Brien Regan, Justin Thomas Regan, Ronald Terrence Regan, Phil Wiginton, Niles Floyd, Col. Russell Blackwell, and Dr. Jack Sellers
Honorary pallbearers include Chris Burns, William T. Johnson, Dr. Ken Copeland, and Dr. Ron McCoy.
