Joseph Joe Johnson, age 56, of Iuka, Miss., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014. Visitation will be today at Ludlam Funeral Home beginning at 6 p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at Ludlam Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Iuka, Miss. Officiating will be Brother Vincent Shelby.
Survivors include wife, Lessie Johnson, of Iuka, Miss.; mother, Ruby Hill, of Iuka, Miss.; two sons, Brian Johnson, of Virginia, and Zachary Johnson, of Virginia; two daughters, Crystal Johnson, of Virginia, and Destiny Courtney and husband, Landon, of Corinth, Miss.; one brother, Leon Hill Jr., of Waterloo; one sister, Teresa Jones, of Florence; and one grandchild, Preston Courtney.
He was preceded in death by father, Leon Hill, and sister, Lisa Hill.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Richardson, Kenny Coleman, Peanut Robertson, Chris Clark, Josiah Hill, and Joshua Hill. Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Hubbard.
