Funeral services for , age 75 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Don Schultz and Elks Lodge 1792 officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Cemetery. Mr. Simms passed away Wednesday at his residence.
A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Dillard and Annie Rawls Simms. Mr. Simms was retired from CFW, former employee of Palatec Manufacturing and was a member of the Kirkland Baptist Church. He was an active member of the Elks Lodge 1792 for 37 years.
Survivors include his wife Hazel Ruth Hambrick Simms of Fayetteville, son Chris Simms and wife Lynda of Tampa, FL, daughter Cindy McDonnell and husband John of Charlotte, NC, grandchildren Dakota Simms, Ryan McDonnell, Kyle McDonnell, and sister Estelle Brown of Fayetteville.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 12PM-3PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
