The Lord called Willie “Wes” West, 46, home on Jan. 16, 2014. He accepted Christ early age. A 1985 Howard High graduate and saxophonist, his passions were music, witnessing, and laughter.
Cherishing his memory are his parents, Willie West, Alma Knowles, and James Knowles; grandmother, Dora Hall; sons, Willie Raynard Jr., and Ladarius and Talon West; siblings, Sabrenia, Feliccia, and Schlar West; special friend, Jacqueline Ragsdale; and devoted nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The homegoing services are Friday, Jan. 24, at noon EST at Olivet Baptist Church located at 740 E. MLK. Interment is at Highland Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. EST at John P. Franklin Chapel, 1109 Dodds Ave., 423-622-9995.
