Wayne Rogers Sims age 73 of Athens, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in Brooksville, FL. Mr. Sims was born August 19, 1940 in Eldorado, AR to J.D. Sims and Ethel Bates Sims.
Memorial services will be Saturday, February 1, 2014 1:00 p.m., at Bethel Church of Christ with John Cox officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery with full Military Honors. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Ethel Sims of Eldorado, AL.
Survived by his wife, Judy Earls Sims of Athens; two daughters, Julie Kanuri and husband, Damodar of Brooksville, FL and Christie Roberts and husband, Ty of Athens; five grandchildren, Grace Kanuri, Aaron Kanuri, Alyson Roberts, Bailey Roberts and Abby Roberts.
